OH before you refit the LMC make sure you refit the AirMuscle tube, as you don't want to remove the LMC again.
now refit the cleaner head assembly, here is one I prepared earlier,
Sir Clips back on,
slip your clutch to motor belt back on and centre it on the roller,
Refit the belt cover, connect up the looms and tuck them in place,
Refit the clutch cover,
Insert valve arm axle and screw it on,
Now dress and connect the AirMuscle tubing,

Re assemble Pre filter cover and install on the machine,
Clip on belt cover,
On with the rope seal and sole plate,
Screw on flap and refit the post filter,
This is it for the body of the machine.
Except refitting the blockage relief valve, almost forgot

Now onto the pixie dust separator,
rubber up and clip the cone, shroud and upper cones together, being mindful of the DC41 style bin catch spring
Gasket and lid back on,
and release rod in,
Cyclone top, handle and bin release rod are assembled and fitted,
Bin back together,
Now re attach the hose, wand, tools and cyclone,
Now plug her in and see if she chooches and job done.
Few glamour shots,
Hope you all enjoyed.

Amazing work, both with the refurb and the pics!
I'm about to purchase a pair of (distressed) Dysons, a DC28 and a DC35, for $45USD. I will admit, I'm a bit apprehensive of stripping the air muscle... however, I think this guide will make it much easier. I'm pretty excited to see how much better it performs than my DC14. Any insight?

I'm doing it. I'm
doing it!!!
I have a 28 at home. Already disassembled and cleaned the cyclone, bin and filters. As soon as I get a few hours to myself, I'm going to tackle the business end of this beast headfirst.
That's a smart idea, right? I mean, I can't possibly do it wrong.....?
