Not sure, however, if it helps I've tried a DC41 Mk2/ERP head on a normal DC41 Animal (1300w) and it worked fine!
Hello, sorry if it is wrong to resurrect an old thread but I was pleased to find this.
As per my first post on this forum:
https://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php/topic,4443.0.htmlI am looking for a powerful upright dyson to replace our ageing DC07 and I have been put off the new EU spec 700w models by the idea of reduced suction power (compared to the DC07), especially at the hose (maybe wrongly).
I’ve been advised away from a DC75 by beko1987 due to poor reliability and scarcity of parts and I am currently looking to get a DC41. I have been considering getting a 1300w DC41 MK1 and fitting an ERP head on it to get the benefits of the new head with the increased power of the MK1.
I have been looking for a while to find reports from others who have tried this. I initially found this thread from 2016
https://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php?topic=2154.0 Where Parwaz, you enquire about the possibility of putting a 1300w motor in a DC41 MK2, and only today have I found the above comment from 2017 where you talk of having done exactly what I was hoping to do.
I am interested to hear your experience of doing this Parwaz as I remember reading how impressed you were with the 700w DC41 mk2 when you first got it. How do you think they compared? Given the choice which would you choose?
I’ve seen several other comments to indicate others have done this successfully too including from MVacs here
We tend to replace like with like, but another Dyson specialist we know routinely fits either or and reported no issues when we once discussed it.

But no other comments from people with direct experience of doing it themselves. Is anyone else able to comment on their experience of doing this?
I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thank you
