« Last post by MVacs on March 15, 2024, 05:19:27 pm »
We like to be the first to show you new Sebo products and we’re doing it again now with this Sebo Professional D9. This is a soon-to-be-launched brand-new Sebo. So new in fact, that the prototype only came in from Germany the day before we took the photos you see on this page this week.

There's a full article about it on our Sebo Shop blog here: The Sebo Professional D9: Revolutionising Commercial Cylinder Vacuum Cleaning

Anyone have experience removing the DC56 motor cover?

While performing another thorough disassembly of my stalwart DC56 to clean its innards, it occurred to me that over the course of many, many years I have never cleaned the foam filters nestled under the motor cover. This fact now bothers me on a neural level.

I attempted to remove it in a manner identical to the DC57, but without luck. I get the bottom bit loose. But despite much pressing and prying I cannot determine the location of the internal clips that secure the DC56 motor cover in place.

Where are the secret pressure points?

Often you need to put a small blade down the side of the plastic sheath to release a lock clip.

It could be the reset switch.

If that doesn't cure it, it will be the side loom or the brushroll motor. But from what you have said, a reset switch sounds more likely.

Good morning ...I have managed to dismantle my DC11 without too many problems but for the life of me I cannot manage to separate the two plastic connectors going to the motor. Have watched a couple of YouTube videos and seems they should simply pull apart. For whatever reason mine will not pull apart.

Not sure what these plastic connectors are called.
Anyone else had this problem or can suggest how to separate the connector. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks George

First Generation "The Ball" Dysons. / DC25 brushes issue
« Last post by Kevinfleet on March 11, 2024, 07:33:41 pm »
I’ve had a DC25 for many years. The brush rotor has recently been stopping after a few seconds; this happens on carpets and on hard floors. If you press the brushes  button (the one next to the on / off switch), the brushes turn again for another few seconds. If you keep holding down the “brushes” button, the brushes will operate continuously, until you let go of the button. I’ve cleaned the brushes roller, taken it out & cleared any possible dust, put a small amount of silicon spray lubricant on each end - it’s made no difference. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Discussion About Other Vacuum Cleaners & Appliances / Re: cleaning filters?

Thank you for your reply. The filter shown is a wrong shape. Luckily the local Shed has a
compressor, which got a lot of dirt off. But:

when the air hits the filter, it bounces back, so you should try to hold the filter so that you are
out of the line of fire & up-wind. (I learnt this the hard way). And wear goggles.

If it's paper, compressed air.

If it's fabric, you should be able to wash it.

If you need a new one and it's this one:

They are on eBay, item number 254536759354, part number PB531.
