I have a Sebo X4 which is a good vacuum minus the weird height adjustment computer. Anyone know how easy it is to disable this so I can use it on the lowest brush setting at all times?
When I switch the vacuum on and recline it and lift the head off the floor for a while, it works nicely for a few seconds till the head raises again :'(

Do you mean its faulty or you just dont like the automatic height adjuster?

It's in good working order but I just don't like the height adjuster

Because it does what it is supposed to do? ;D
Buy a black X4 Pet Boost (https://manchestervacs.co.uk/Dyson/Sebo-automatic-pet-boost-X4), there is a button you can press that sends the cleaner head deep down into the carpet. That is what the "Boost" is.
I am not aware of an easy way to disable the height adjuster.

Haha okay ;D
Thank you and I'll look into the X4 boost  wish I had that instead lol
Edit: Wish I could afford it too :/

Update:
I decided to have a go at disabling the computer height adjuster, so 4 screws off and the hood came off, and I removed the sort of flat PC wire with a red plastic connector at the end from the PCB It's the one on the left hand side of the PCB (facing the vacuum head from the front)
Just to make sure the brush was at it's lowest height, I ran the vac with the head away from the floor till the "down" light stopped, so I was sure.
Assembled it and it works great! I love it, it digs into carpets nicely, so satisfying ;D Only thing is the front indication lights don't work which doesn't bother me but if I was to sell it all I need to do is just connect the wire back on ;D

That's a cool hack! That's the one thing I've never been too keen on was the auto height, and the fact that it never seems to dig in. Might try that on my X4 when/if I get it working! My old Ensign SM2 was brutally awesome with the manual height adjustment, it rivalled the Kirby G5 I had for grooming, and was nearly as good as a Turbopower 1! (probably on par with your Maytag Windtunnel Parwaz!)

I've just filmed mine's pre refurb video, and tbh the brushroll had a go at grooming, I could see trackmarks in mums awful bedroom carpet. Mine will probably see a replacement brushroll as although mine has good length it's a bit battered and soft. Still want to try your hack though tayyab, although does it make the brushroll sit lower, or just not raise up?

Niceee I might do that too
The computer is completely disabled so it stops the head moving up and down
I ran the vac in a reclined position till the brush stopped lowering (till the down light went off)
Switched it off, then unclipped one of the wires on the pcb
Works lovely
