Before my wife and I invest in a Dyson I would like to hear from current owners. Are you satisfied with your Dyson?

Hello Watcher. Are you in the US or Canada? (As some models differ across the pond).

What are your vacumming needs? Big house, or small house? Kids and pets or no kids and pets?

We'll be happy to recommend you what model we think will suit your circumstances if you can expand a little. Tell us what you need and I am sure a few members will cast an opinion.

The lovely Claire in our shop advises customers on this stuff, as she has kids, dogs, cats, etc., and she has the pick of the shop floor (call it a perk of the job). She knows *every* model from the view of a woman in the home (she has a DC07 at the moment and we keep tempting her with new model "Ball" machines, but she wont part with her trusty DC07 unless we give her a a new model DC33 to try out).

Although I am a dyson agent now  I had one while I still worked for Electrolux before I opened my shop.
I too can have any vacuum I want , kirby's, rainbows, filter queens, Electrolux, AEG you name it its on our floor but I have 3 dysons at home.

I have 11 cats 3 dogs 10 bunny rabits 2 hamsters , two sons aged 6 and 8 and two parents that all live with us Its a big full house

We now have a dc15 a dc25 and a dc05 motor head .
I love them all and all have there  purpose.
I also have a dc05 standard in the work shop and a dc07 usa model for the shop

For a while we had a dc14 lavender model but I hated the colour machine was great though.

I am from the US and we have 3 cats that shed like crazy.  8) We have been buying Eureka vacuums and they have been dying just after a couple years.

Eureka was a brand started many years ago in Michigan wasn't it? I think Electrolux now owns them. Its not a brand we see in the UK; here they will be badged as Electrolux most likely.

Yes that is right.
Electrolux owns many brands across the world
Eureka
progress
Zannussi
Volta
tornado
AEG

Uprights are sources from Eureka as the USA has the biggest market for upright machines.
At current there are over 250 different models and variations on models of Eureka available in the USA.
The first uprights to be sourced from Eureka were the Electrolux Widetrack and Boss models
Current offerings include the
Power glide
@ease
Both very good vacuum cleaners

I have been extremely satisfied with the Dyson vacuum cleaners I have had over the years!  I have had a DC04, a DC07 and now have a DC14.

What happened to your trusty dc07 was told  you would never give it up ?

I loved my dc14 I just hated the colour ( lavender)
I must say though that I do find that my dc15 picks up the pet hair better

My mother now has my DC07! She had been after it for ages.  I simply liked the colour of this particular DC14, it is metallic royal blue!  Love it!  I have to say I'm quite impressed with it's performance so far!  I find the telescopic reach extremely useful.

ooh that is a nice colour , my wife would love a blue one, we currently get the irion colour dc14 here It looks very industrial . our dc15 is the ruby red model from new zealand

The telascopic reach is the best much better than the old dc07 model.

I got a whole bunch of telascopic dc14 handles and hoses from dyson SA and made a modification to fit these to the dc07's
Customers love it

She has aspirations of a DC25 also. I am trying to talk her out of that as she will expect it as a perk.  :-X

She was unconvinced of my suggestion that a DC01 was now cool and retro.  :duh:

We have never had a vacuum last as long as our Dyson. I asked my wife what model it was and she said the yellow one.   :'(   Upon further interrogation she told me it was the DC07.
We've had it a few years now, and except for the dog chewing thru the cord one time have never had a problem with it. She's even trained me how to use it.

Many people come in the shop for a part, and when asked the model number, that's what they say.  :duh:

And see, I thought they were ALL yellow! but now I see there's a purple on in one of your ads. If I'da realized that I'd probably have looked for that when I bought it.
