Dyson DC07 bin push rod
« on: August 04, 2013, 05:32:18 pm »
I am trying to empty the cylinder but the bin lid does not release when the trigger is pulled up. I have removed the bin push rod and it doesn't look like it is broken but I cannot get to the bottom of the bin to see why it won't work.

Has anyone any suggestion???

When you replace the cap on the cyclone, the pushrod is very hard to get in the actual center hole.  Remove the 3 screws on the cap, and you'll be able to pull the top off and see into the cyclone, and where the rod goes.  If you hold the trigger down on the handle, it protrudes the rod and will help you get it centered into the base latching mechanism.
