DC 18 - black coiled cable

Hi.

I've followed the excellent help to dismantle the under carriage and can now see that the cable to the motor needs replacing. All I need is some help to remove the cable from the motor (the red cable is fine). Do I need to get in to the motor itself or does it just pull out. ???

Any help??
