DC14 Samsung motor - connection issues!
« on: October 01, 2013, 07:54:38 pm »
Hi all, need some help!

Dismantling a DC14 All Floors for repair, the wires pulled apart from the motor whilst removing the motor from the housing.

Come to reassembly, and both wires out of the motor are black. One is thicker than the other.

Which is live and which is neutral?

The thicker one should be the live I believe.

Thicker wire to live worked! Never seen a Samsung motor or motor rubbers before!

Anyway, back together and working like new after new belts and filters, and full stripdown, wash and reassembly

Never seen a Samsung motor or motor rubbers before!

Very few seem to be fitted with that one. Although, the YDK does fit in there as well with the same rubbers I recall.
