Author Topic: DC25 Animal cyclone assembly seal replacement (Read 4786 times)

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows if it possible to replace the thin spongy seal that covers the top of the cyclone on a DC25. Mine started whistling, and when I looked at it the seal is disintegrating! I guess it's letting air in, and also letting muck into the bottom of the filter. Any suggestions? Thanks :)

Its not usually something that is sold on its own; the usual remedy is a new cyclone.

If you machine has an amber cyclone, we happen to have some new that we got in a deal. We can do one of those at a very good price.

If you are the lady who sent us a question on this subject today, someone in our shop will answer it tomorrow and we'll get you fixed up at the right price.

Hi, thanks for the reply - it was me that sent the query!

It's actually sorted - I didn't realise I still had 3 months to go on the warranty so Dyson are sending me out a new (purple) cyclone, which surprised me.

Great to know you are here though, and when my last 3 months are up I will be straight back for any parts I need
