Fragile
« on: October 11, 2013, 11:24:45 pm »
Just got a job lot of dysons and among them is the first ever DC03 I have ever even come close to. it's the clear edition and it is very funky looking but what the hell did Mr Dyson make it from, it's so fragile.  Give it a funny look and a crack appears  :snivel:

Yes I have one of the clear versions, had planned on refurb & selling but had the same problem - very brittle plastic so just cracked on me when I tried to take the power button off. Couldn't bring myself to bin it, quite funky clear blue as you say, so just use it to clean the workshop  ;D

Sole plate has self destructed and the filters have fallen apart, wont make any money on it if I do sell so it might just end up in my collection of Hoover Junior's.  Don't tell Mrs Madrat  :-X :underchair:

We have tons of old (and some new old stock) filters for those. Get in touch if you want some at happy money.

Yikes! Always ask! We have way more stuff than we have listed. Just not enough hours in the day to list it all.

DC03 is now up and running, not a bad little machine to be honest. Cost me just under £40 to get going, and a tube of supper glue to apply to the cracks  ::)  Has anyone ever seen the hooks that allowed you to hang them on the wall?

It's the back of the wand cap that doubles up as a hanging point for a hook etc

I thought you used two big hooks and hang them upside down and the hooks come through the two apertures in the cleaner head. Something like this........

Pedantic perhaps, but for me, a storage hook is a hook you store things on. Hang a coat for example.

I don't see how you could reliably hang a machine up by the wand cap.
