If hanging the cleaner by the storage hook, ensure it is securely fixed and out of the way

And I just found this on the net.........

That's what I said, not sure how much the DC03 cost when new but I wouldn't fancy hanging a machine that cost several hundred on a wand cap    But hanging it upside down would be mighty fiddle

Pedantic perhaps, but for me, a storage hook is a hook you store things on. Hang a coat for example.

I don't see how you could reliably hang a machine up by the wand cap.

I did try it out of curiosity and seemed ok - I'd have to check the wand cap was properly attached before I did it each time though! The footplates seem to be fairly brittle/fragile now so falling straight onto that would be bad news.

Agree it's not really a storage hook either!

I seam to remember it saying 2 hooks, so I wonder if the second one went under the bottom of the hose.  If you look, there is an area on the base under this that looks like it was designed to take something.
