Dyson DC23 Motor Replacement
« on: August 12, 2014, 07:30:23 pm »
Hi everyone  ;)
I'm hoping someone here has replaced the motor on a DC23,need advice
I have dismantled the vacuum to the point where it seems I need to remove the retractable cord wheel to be able to access motor removal screws.
I cannot find any information how to remove this cord wheel, can anybody help?
Thanks in advance

You are lucky we have done one of these today.

Look at this photo:

There is a black clip where circled that you put a thin blade down behind to release the cable rewind I am told - if that makes sense?
