Hello all, had a CR01 for over 10 years now (I think) and generally been very happy with the product and Dyson service. They only had to come out to it twice I believe, the first was within the 5 year inclusive warranty, when they upgraded the firmware to stop it contra rotating if I remember right and to fix a fault but can't remember what that was! Nothing major I think. (They also sent us a new outer door because we'd scratched the original but I've never bothered to fit it as it wasn't affecting it's operation) The second time was when it was out of warranty, for £99 they attended site, repaired the fault, serviced the machine and warrantied it for another year- amazing.

Anyway since then the LED display gradually failed until we almost had to operate it "blindfold", then a few weeks ago it stopped all together. I managed to diagnose the pump was faulty and a brand new replacement was obtained for £28. Having fitted this and got it working again I bit the bullet and managed to find a new display panel pcb on e-bay for £40. This was easily fitted and now we can read it again.

As I said been really impressed with it overall, the wife has really pushed the envelope sometimes, even putting rugs and sheepskin coats in (and they are heavy enough when dry!)

Really glad to find there are other enthusiasts out there keeping these running..
