taking apart the cyclone
« on: January 07, 2014, 05:55:35 am »
I wanted to clean out my DC07 cyclone, so I removed the top handle by removing the three black screws on top.  I then noticed three silver screws halfway down the interior of the cyclone body.  I removed those to see if it came apart any further, but nothing seems to separate.  Anybody know what is supposed to come apart when removing those three silver interior screws?

They don't split at that point.

One would normally remove the shrouds from below and steam clean it at that point. If you have a workshop manual that is explained fully in there with photos.

There may also be an old topic on this somewhere in this room if you delve a bit.

Edit: Here is the old topic.
