DYSON DC24 - PCB TO MOTOR CONNECTION
« on: January 16, 2014, 10:29:17 pm »
Hi All

Just replaced a motor from you guys - looks like it may be the PCB though.  I have a spare tested PCB available but want to be certain I connect the motor correctly.  Is there some way to identify the black white cables in order to fit them correctly to the PCB??  Sorry should have taken more care on stripping out!  Any help appreciated.

Byron

Thanks for your reply ... All of the connections are there other than the one from the motor to the PCB.  Obviously its a Black and White lead .... And there are two pins on the PCB .. Just want to get the pin out correct.

Is there an easy way to work out the correct connection ie black towards the front of the vax, head? any help appreciated as the PCB pic shows the underside :-)

I asked our tech this today, he said the black and white wires go into a plug that only clips in one way.

He also said that the plug socket sometimes comes away from the board so that only leaves two pins in that case; which might cause confusion. If that's what you have, we'll strip an old head down and tell you which one goes front facing?

Yes that is exactly what has happened!  And if you can that would be perfect!  Thanks so much for your help - brilliant service!

Does anyone have a lead with the red and white wires that is in the picture above?  It goes to a moulded 2 pin plug.

I just moved a few posts to make that topic: Obscure DC24 Wire Wanted.
