Hello!
We got this old hoover junior donated to us by an elderly lady who'd used it since new, she'd purchased a dyson off us and said we was more than welcome to have it. After closer inspection it's a 1224, it's now been stripped to the core and ready to be re-painted. Anyone know what shade/name of blue and white they used to paint these originally?

Very nice! Replacement bag though sadly.
I'll borrow your picture and ask on facebook, someone will know!

Also:
Strip, cleanand re-pack the brushroll bearings if you can. They should split down, dont loose any balls though!
New belt will help!
Does the belt pulley move about? Can you push and pull it? If not, the front bearing is good!
If the motor slows in use the armature may be caked in shite!

Here is my 119 (same machine bar the paint job) kicking a DC24's arse last year!

I am liking that some of you guys are bringing interesting non-Dyson chat here.
A little bit of diversity is OK.
