Greetings to all!
« on: January 17, 2014, 09:05:44 pm »
Hello,

I am new to the forum but have been using dyson products since around 2006. Overall I am pleased with dyson products and believe that it has pushed the vacuum industry in a more competitive direction. I do get the impression that the older models of the dyson have proven to be of a higher quality product than the newer models which is disappointing and hope that trend will reverse. I also think these forums are wonderful! You can get some great insights on all the various models and which ones seem to perform better and how to resolve some of your own models issues as well as commiserate with others who have the same issues. Anyway, glad to finally be a part of the forum and hope to contribute.

Thanks,
Jim
That sucks :)

You've hit the nail on the head there Jim, the older ones are better. Certainly from a maintanance point of view. You could get a DC07 and strip it down every year to make it like new again and still have a better machine than a £500 DC50 whatever the latest model is!

Welcome too!  :tiphat:

Thanks for the welcome  :tiphat:   :icon_nod: I am disappointed to find that a once progressive company is falling behind in innovation and stepping backward in the quality of their development but at the same time am thankful that they put an improved vacuum on the market at least at their beginning stages.
That sucks :)
