My DC25 has no suction at all through the main ground-level vacuum head, but still works perfectly through the wand. Filters clean, hoses clear. Pretty baffled. Any tips? Thanks a lot

Is the brushroll turning when the machine is reclined?

Yes, the brushroll's operating fine. In fact this is the only thing that results in any successful cleaning.

I've managed a bit more exploratory work - I removed the cleaner head and turned the vacuum on and there was still strong suction from the cavity/hose. Then, when the cleaner head was reattached and the vacuum turned on, the suction coming out of the base of the cleaner head was very, very feeble. The suction loss seems to be 'through' the cleaner head. Any mileage in fixing of replacing the whole cleaner head?

Thanks for your help

You are not going to feel it at the soleplate so much as the suction is spread across the full slot.

Check the condition of this seal:

Annoyingly I can't now remove the cleaner head. It's stuck and I don't want to force it. I think there must be some flaw with the seal or the cleaner head, so I'll get this checked out. Thanks for the suggestions
