Reapir of brush roller motor and PCB
« on: February 10, 2014, 02:26:28 pm »
Hi
The roller on the DC24 has stopped rotating when you switch it on.  How do I tell if it is the switch (looks OK), the PCB or the motor?
Regards, Paul

Does your head have a reset button on it? Small red button on the side of the head. Press that first.

If that has no effect, it will most likely be the motor. However, as they are not returnable, check that the PCB has a circa 330V DC feed coming from it first; that will discount the PCB.

Thanks MVacs.  The PCB voltage is OK at 314 volts, so I guess I'll order the new motor.

Just for info, we have them on eBay, but they are cheaper on our site here: DC24 Brushroll Motor.
