howling cyclone after strip down and clean.
« on: February 23, 2014, 08:37:25 pm »
Any help, refurbishing a DC07 ANIMAL. And stripping and cleaning the cyclone down. Now rebuilt and back on on the machine , there is a whistling sound!? Rebuilt and checked all rubbers and no joy! Tried another cyclone and bin and all ok. Really baffled on this if any one can help? Done loads of these and never had this trouble before.

The Dyson later models make a loud howling sound because it prevents the clogging as the earlier ones were not de rooted and had clogging problems. You have the upgraded cyclone :) It has larger holes on top of the cyclones
