How to remove scratches?
« on: March 26, 2014, 11:01:53 pm »
When I get a simple average upright Dyson, for example the DC04, DC07, DC14, DC33 etc on the side of the cleaner head there are battle marks and scratches from going under radiators and underneath kitchen cupboards. How do I make the cleaner heads look new?

Try a green scourer pad, the type that supermarkets sell for cleaning pots and pans, rub lightly until your marks are removed then use polish to buff up.I have heard that steel wool works as well.

Cheers! I have some steel wool, might try sand papepr if the scratches are really deep. I will let you know how I get on after polishing it up too

Go easy with the sand paper unless it is really fine stuff. ;)

CIF normally gets everything apart from damage off for me. I usually just leave any damage on and just price accordingly when selling.

I've used a Magic Sponge before and it gets paint off really well but is abrasive as hell if your not careful. I save that for really beaten up machines!
