Why has the webmaster there closed the topic?

If the eBay name given is right, the listings are here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/discontinuedbutdiscounted/m.html

I'll send him a link to the topic here.

I think the webmaster closed the thread because people were arguing and they thought that all this was fake. Not sure though but now there is proof, so I think you should get the DC04 and DC01 because they are both rare and the DC04 in pristine condition (new) would make a great addition to your shop/ collection

Vacuum land can be an arse at times! I'm looking forward to seeing how much they go for. Nib doesn't interest me at that price, half the fun is getting them cheap and on the hush!

I wouldn't mind one of his DC01's, but it depends what they will fetch. No need to go mad when we can build a nice one ourselves.

Personally, I am not bothered about boxes, because eventually we intend to have some in a glass case in new premises.

We have enough new DC04 stuff to build a "new" DC04 anyway.

Gamble £350. I bet you will still be outbid (to your relief at that stage!)

I guess you can give faulty dyson motors to scrappers to get money for the scrap metal ;D You will get more income for that DC01or Dc04 Absolute+

I dropped the guy an email inviting him to the topic here, and mentioning I would have one of his DC01's off him. He didnt reply.

£350?  :o

I'd want it delivered by Victoria Beckham in a St Trinians outfit at that price!

But fair play to the guy, he wants to do it by auction to the highest bidder, and that is free market and defines the true value. I'd probably do the same if I had the haul he does. I am interested to see what his stuff fetches. Because it will define future values of similar.

Thats exactly why I'm watching! Rare chance to find a true value rather than a failed buy it now. One of his Turbopower 2's is at £170, thats more than they retailed for when new 20 years ago!

I think the guy's got a bit pissed off with a barrage of emails from vacuumland members, dont think anymore will be listed now for a while. He has a family, 2 shops and most of the pictures so far have been from his staff members, not him.

I did message him though, the shop where it all is is 20 miles from me. Said I'd happily book a day off work and go over to help him, he said he would let me know! Cant afford anything but would be a good day sorting through that lot!
