OK, I sort of admit it, I'm doing this mainly for the thread content, this is probably far too much effort for a £20 TOPS vac when refurbished, but I just cant sell filthy stuff, and at least I can say I've stripped one!
I'm sure we have all seen one of these whilst bored in Asda, the Pro-Action!
Mmmmm Premium!
Lets pop the hood
And take the cloth bag out
This was packed solid when I got it, but it vacced off well. Needs a wash though!
Hood off
Hose entry port first
Then the release handle
Bag full indicator unscrews next
and all strips down nicely
The lid is stripped
Pre motor filter out
Motor housing off next, and this was fiddly as everything was screwed down to either side with short cables inbetween
The motor is clamped into place
And after removing the motor and cord rewind it looked quite empty
Wheels off
Post motor filter out
Carry handle trim and bag chamber seal out next
It's so tiny it fits into my parts box!
Moving onto the electronics
Probably thr tiniest 1200w motor I;ve ever held!
Washables off
Unplugged the cord rewind
Top motor cover next!
More unplugging
Pedals off
Switch out
The wiring
Lastly the hose (this was taped together at the machine end when bought, unravveling all the tape, and re-screwing it into the handle pivot fixed that up!)
And all apart, and all washed now! I'll pop it back together tomorrow, find some tools to go with it and give someone an ok little vac for £10-£15 depending on how shiny I get it, or if I buy anything tomorow to distract me from it!
