Building a Pristine Dyson DC04 De Stijl to Store.
« on: August 08, 2014, 02:27:46 pm »
As we recently did a DC01 De Stijl for posterity, we came across a good candidate for a DC04 De Stijl to do the same with recently.

So here it is in bits about to be washed.

The best cleaner head we have of about twelve is being buffed as I write.

More photos to follow.

Just looking through what we have, we have De Stijl brush tools and a red crevice but not a stair tool.

Does anyone have a red and purple stair tool in very good condition? We'll buy it or swap it for something else that you want of greater value.

I need the stair tool that matches one of these........

We can still get new red cleaner heads; there is still old stock around of those. But the one we cleaned up is looking just fine now. All we really need is a red and purple stair tool.

The machine is coming back together now and will be finished next week.

Brand new genuine brushroll in there as we happened to have one with purple bristles. Waiting on new soleplate wheels that we had ran out of.

I found a DC04 Destijl stair tool!
I know it's a joblot, but you can always ask if they can let you take that tool, or because you are a Dyson business, it would be ideal for you to buy the joblot anyways? ;D

Just given a tenner for a tidy working DC01 De Stijl. All it needs is a Hepa filter cover and come to think of it, probably a Hepa filter too. Not one to sell, one to mothball. Can anyone help???

No help here I'm afraid, I have my dc01 HEPA filter, normal filters and a pack of belts ready to be packed for tomorrow when I get to see mine!

The filter cover is rare I think, bad luck (hope mine isn't broken too...)

I broke my Dyson DC01 De Stijl HEPA filter cover the other day too!
Gotta put the bin in properly into the cyclone, you gonna make sure the bin insert is in correctly too or else it will be  a bit wonky and you dont realise and SNAP goes your HEPA filter cover catch

You can get away with a yellow one on one of those. The odd one still crops up on ebay. Red ones are hens teeth.

Thanks Parwaz. Well spotted!  :tiphat:

His stair tool photo looks promising blown up.

I just bought that lot. I guess we got our stair tool. Hopefully the other stuff will make it free over time.

All the tools look in good condition, no missing lint strips that I could see, you should break even!
