Cant remember the thread, think I got them for 99p or something daft.  Apparently is was a bit of a rough area and our friend was a bit worried about taking her brand new Discovery down there.

And here it is with its small tools, floor brush, instruction manual and a pack of filters (have another to go with the DA001, old style font filters!)

It's also in the loft, which marks it as done!

No not all of Tipton, but this area was.  My Granddad came from Tipton, my Gran from Dudley.

Cracking job!    And to think I took one down the tip two weeks ago along with three other DC01's! Maybe I should start looking at them with the same enthusiasm that you do!  What do you use to polish them up?  I'm amazed at the shine you got on that thing!  Got a picture of your polishing kit?  Oh, and what do you use to clean up the clear bin??

Beko is an inspiration to many I think!

We also did a DC01 - >pics here< - to hang onto.

And don't take DC01's to the tip - many spares are no longer available for them!  :snivel:

:grinn:  I didn't think there would be any interest in them so thought they'd be a waste of time!  I've thrown loads of them away!  :'(  Woops!

Lol thanks! It did come up well, but I was lucky in that it wasn't too bashed up to begin with!

Of course now I keep a lookout for other dc01s to go with them...think I need:

DC01 with the da001 style dyson font
Dc01
Dc01 Antarctic solo
Dc01 Absolute+

Any more dc01s I've missed tayyab?

Dude, shame!

But then I remember going to the tip in 2003/4, and seeing loads of dc01s sat by the office. Of course back then they could be sold, so I could get 4-5 for £20. Step dad hated taking me to the tip... If only I could go back now! Lines of unfaded, non brittle machines! Did use one for a year as a daily too iirc

There's the DC01 blue :) Looks like the antarctica solo but Dyson had too many blue parts left over so they made them as  the DC01 blue with standard stickers lol
