Dyson dc24 disassembly
« on: August 10, 2014, 01:30:43 pm »
Hi,

I've just got a Dyson dc24. I was wondering if any one had any exploded diagrams for this machine.   The diverter valve seems to stick in either position, so suction flow to  the head or the handle hose doesn't switch over when the vacuum is tilted in the floor VAC position or upright position and visa-versa. Also through the ball I can see small sparks when the motor is running. Is this normal or does this also need replacing. Additionally the bush bar is not working. I think it's the bush bar motor is broke as there is power going to the bush bar terminals.

Any help would be great!

Chris

I did a strip down thread, should show you how it goes together!

Changeover valves stick for fun, your motor sounds on the way out (or just carbon brushes), and look at the many threads on here re the brushroll motor or PCB, and how to test it.
