Good point!
On Thursday [when we are next open] I will check the three adaptors that come with the flexi crevice tool. I know your two types, I will see if one converts them.
Dyson cylinders are an odd thing by design. We can sometimes build a machine
thinking we have a head that will fit that wand. When we try it, it doesn't.
I have a big box of various adaptors we have accrued, occasionally we get lucky and find one that makes X tool fit Y wand. There isnt a definitive guide anywhere that says for example, "DC08 telescopic wrap models can use DC20 flat out tool with X adaptor". Dyson do not release that information. People on sites like this work it out over time.
Cylinders are not big sellers in the UK, so nobody ever really had to learn that stuff. Anyone here in the job will know everything about every tool that was ever fitted to an upright. But cylinders were so random, and had so many variants (example being the DC20 was a DC19 made for a Currys promotion I think), telescope wrap models sometimes use different heads and tools, and foreign market models had even more variants, nobody I ever met wrapped their head around what fits what. Some DC11 tools fit certain models of DC08 for example.
Selling tools online is a nightmare for cylinders. About 30% of people want to return them as they don't fit. Same with turbo heads and flat out tools. Dyson say their flat out tools fit XYZ models, and they don't! If Dyson dont even know, there is no hope.
I'll look on Thursday and see if I can crack this one.
