DC25 Brushroll Reset Issue
« on: November 07, 2014, 12:10:24 pm »
I've got a DC25 which is not defaulting the brushroll motor to 'on' consistently. At start up, once reclined, I usually have to do a reset to start the brushroll motor. It then seems to be OK for 30 mins or so and will always default back to 'on' when the main switch is used off/on.
However once it's been 'rested', overnight or so, the the brushroll usually needs to be restarted manually.
Am I right in thinking that I need to replace the reset switch in the handle, rather than the recline switch (which seems to work fine once I've done the reset) on the left side of the ball? Or is it something else?
It's the fact that the fault is intermittent that is puzzling me, possibly heat-related?

I'd be changing the reset switch first there I think, yes.

Let us know the outcome please.
