Converting an American DC41 to use in the UK?
« on: November 23, 2014, 08:03:22 pm »
There is a "hardly used" DC41 on gumtree in  the West Midlands for £50 from America. I want to convert it to use here in England, what do I need to do? Ps I have  a DC25 british brush motor if that helps, and a bunch of DC07/14 motors along with a burnt out DC05 motor and a Dc04 motor. Thanks ;D

On second thoughts, I decided I'm gonna get a DC14 Animal! Much better! Lol. I am impressed with the new 700W DC41 and DC55 though, they are the best performing Dyson since the DC01

Anybody on this site will tell you DC07's and DC14's were the best Dysons ever made. Stick a 1600W motor in it and a cat in the next street will shit it's pants! Probably good for another 15 years!

Max and Soots have just shat their pants!

LOL yeah :P we are currently on our 4th and 5th DC14. ( origin model and white all floors) and bloody hell, the origin one kicks ass. I put a new 1600w motor in, cleaned the vacuum up, added a new belt, new sole plate seals and guess what it resulted up in? I made a video because it is extremely powerful.

Our neighbours have a DC33 multi floor, and. I hope they are happy with it after a motor going wrong, wand end coming off and one occasion of loss of suction in two years of owner ship from new.
The video shown below is my DC14 sucking the floor off. Yes you read it right, the floor is coming off cos of this thing, lol.
