DC24 - Brush bar won't turn

Hi everyone - my first post so please be patient!

My DC24 has the frequently documented brush bar not turning problem.

Things I've tried/checked so far: -

1. No blockages or anything that would stop brush bar turning.

2. Pressed RED reset button in recline position.

3. Took apart switch housing and swapped them over - both working but sticking problems with brush bar switch when reassembled.

4. Took off brush bar head and checked pins for damage - all o.k.

My next step would be to check the micro switch that switches on brush bar when in recline position but don't know where to find that and test?

Anything  else I can check - to me, this leave only the brush bar motor or the PCB??

do you have a multi meter to check voltage to and from pcb

Yes, I have a muti meter.

OK remove the brush head and locate the 2 terminals on the main body, test these with the unit in the reclined position to see if you get 230 volts AC if not the wiring loom is probably broken in the yoke. If there is a voltage you need to take the head apart and test the input to the pcb (230 volt AC) then the out put of the pcb, but remember the output is DC and quite high, not sure exactly (not done a DC24 only DC25) but someone on her will know.  If there is input but no output the motor has probably gone and taken the pcb with it.

About 330DC you are looking for out of the PCB towards the motor.
