Hi
I'm trying to replace the burn out motor in my DC39 but don't know how I disconnect the wires from the motor now I've got to it can anyone tell me how I do this please? 😃

Welcome to the forum, how is Norfolk? not been there for a few years now.

You really need to post question in the cylinder section, someone will probably move it there for you soon.  I'm sorry I cant help but I've never worked on a DC39.

If it's anything like the other Dysons, then there should be a few inches of wire running from the motor terminals, and then a push-fit connector on each wire. They simply pull apart.

It doesn't seem to have those connectors. If you look on here there's an article on how to change the DC39 motor which shows how to get to the motor but it doesn't say how to disconnect the wiring. But there is a photo showing the wiring perhaps you could have a look and see if you can see how to disconnect it? Once I can get the old one out I'll have no probs fitting a new one but don't want to damage the existing wiring! If not maybe a can message the author of that guide??
