DC05 extension tube problem
« on: February 22, 2015, 12:38:22 pm »

The ratchet on the extension tube on our DC05 has started slipping: cannot see how to dismantle the tube assembly to investigate / repair. Anyone out there who has any advice - we would be grateful for your input. Regards Brian Barber.

From memory, and that memory is over 40 now, prise out the retaining ring and then there is a spring and plastic paw, if nothings broken give everything a good clean and a light greasing and re assemble, if it doesn't work it will probable mean a new wand.
