Had a lovely DC04 Grey and Lime that was in working condition and that I had prepared for ebay. I love these, the colour's go really well and when there is no sun fading on the grey they look stunning. Motor was in good condition with approx inch and half on each brush.
Before I cleaned it I had run it and it was fine, but as I always do I also run them for 5 - 10 minutes after rebuild, so glad I did because after 3 minutes there was a band and a lot of rattling
Found a YDK ring and rubbers and fitted a Kenley

Blimey! Even one intentionally burnt out didn't disintegrate like that, although it was a YDK.
