Best one yet!
« on: March 05, 2015, 02:42:07 pm »
Just stripped a DC07 HEPA that came in a job lot.  I knew there was something going on from the weight and the smell, a mixture off dog bed and ash tray with under tones of cat litter  :boggleeye:

The extra weight was in the cyclone.  So outside and off with the top  :o

And this little lot was in the brush bar housing

Amazingly the motor is fine.

Wow, lol. I thought the new cyclones don't get clogged up? Why do they clog? Causes?

The previous owner of that Dyson must have had bought those Cadbury chocolate eggs with milk chocolate inside and them purple spoons!

LOL oh yer.  :icon_nod:

Could have planted a daisy in the top.

If you constantly over fill the bin the dust and fluff will go into the cyclone.  There is a MAX line on there for a reason.  Also worth banging the cyclone against the bin when emptying it to dislodge any build up.  There was a fluffy hairy plug at the bottom of the cyclone holding all the dust in. Quarter filled ASDA carrier bag.

Had one the other week that a lady bought round.  Was packed with fluff though,  and I blew the bag apart in crap Henry cleaning it out!
