Dyson DC40
« on: April 16, 2015, 11:09:47 pm »
Will the brush motor from a Dc24 fit a DC40? Took mine apart and noticed my DC25 motor is much bigger and thicker in diameter than the DC40 motor. I am shocked, why so many hidden differences in the DC40 and DC41 which look the same?  :D :censored:
On the plus side I am glad I have mastered changing the DC40 motor so it is quite easy now. I would be confident in taking one apar again, not so sure about the DC41 as it looks diff, but I imagine its similar in most ways

The DC40 brush motor has a side with black print on it. the other side has a gold sticker.

The printed side in black says: 1060100
and right underneath that it says: 3M4511

Other side on the gold sticker: Johnson DF651(2)LG
240V DC
1D60200 CL.130

Those numbers correspond with the DC24 motor.

Ikr they were bloody pathetic
DC24 is a lovely little gem though :) I just wish the bruh motors last longer, and I REALLY would like the wand to stay locked in the compact setting aswell cos the hose is short and I may want to use the wand sometimes with the crevice tool. like a little extension
