DC14 wand and hose
« on: April 07, 2015, 06:35:34 pm »
Hi, I was refurbishing my DC14 after it had gotten dirty after putting new tiles in, anyways I decided it would be cool to blast the steam cleaner through the hose and it looked alright and the hose was nice and flexible. The wand has a little dent in it which means its a little bit hard to pull the pole out.
However, since steaming the hose after it's wash, there is SOOO MUCH fricion in the hose, its really rubbery like omg I cant use the wand or hose. I have to take the wand out, pull the hose out from the bottom like a DC01/04/07 and then telescope the wand, like really?!

So how much would it be to buy a new wand and hose (purple please, or lavender for the Animal) as I am picky and want my machines for my collection perfect, lol. I also need a new motor for my Origin as it died! :(

No what you need is a spray polish and a duster, house hold will do but car plastic polish with silicone is better.

Also, new coloured wands for the DC14 are already discontinued; they are all silver now.

I massively overhauled a dc14 hepa from a skip that was commerciallly used for a neighbour who had decided to put the hose, cyclone and brushbar in the dishwasher.!!!!  :king:  It too suffered from the same symptoms i got round it by pushing baby wipes up the hose. Bissare but true.
