Nice DC01 Obtained!
« on: June 03, 2015, 09:26:53 am »
Took a trip out last night to pay £2.50 for a dead DC14 and a nice, honest, faded, giffer owned DC01.

Has a pack of 6 filters with it

2 of which are fitted to the machine

Nice mint cyclone stickers

Giffer damage to the bumpers

Decent lower sticker

The rubber soleplate spring is in-tact and present!

It's a late model though

Original plug

Tiny bit of damage to the wand

Hose is scrap but I have a spare one I think under the bed.

It's a shame it's so faded. Will be pointless getting a new wand as it'll be faded differently to the rest of the machine! I'll refurb this in due course and add it to the collection until a better one pops along. TBH It's the best one I've seen locally for months so it's not all bad! And I'm one more DC01 closer to having a full set!

Think I'll come & live near you, not even seen scrap
machines for that down here. Saw a dc14 on a market
stall a few weeks back, non worker for £25.00

No word of a lie, this is the only local (within 25 miles) DC01 I've seen for years. Was a ruined one at the car boot last year which I didn't go for as it was broken in every possible way. They seem to be getting a bit thin over this way!

TBH if it wasnt for the BROKEN DC14 being in the listing title I'd have missed it anyway!

Same, seeing more and more 'refurbished' DC01's for the £40 mark on ebay now, they obviously dont sell though as they keep cropping up again and again!

I think these are starting to be found either completely broken/not worth it or mintola, general 'in daily use until recently' ones have all but gone I think!

Someone has loved this through its life though, the belt is fairly new, it grooms very well! Filters are recent too, although already filthy!

They seem to be getting a bit thin over this way!

We don't see many at all now. Ones we do get are broken for bits mostly as they are worth more in bits.
