Here we are my dc07 that i found in the tip yesterday. it was needing a good clean as it ran poorly.
preparing to take it apart. Done a quick test though for some reason.
Cyclone Off
A closer look how ruff it is.
Gad. Its wet oh no!

Sole Plate off
Is the hose suppose to look like that
the motor next
Well the wheels should come off first uh silly me!
I gave up with the switch it wouldn't come off so decided to leave it before i break it!!

finally that motor had to come out
ah finally what a pain in the arse. anyway i got it
Look at that plenty of meat on those carbon brushes, more than my DC04.
Grrhhhh!! an other bit of plastic has fallen off, damit.
Gad. It looks like a bomb went off!

That's clean to some I have had.
The switch, remove the screw then insert screwdriver in hole at the back, hold neck and slap screwdriver forward, do the same in opposite hole and repeat if needed.

Now ive just got to put it all back together. i couldn't get all the dirt of the sole plate etc.
. anyway here we go
Starting On the cyclone
Handle back on.
Cyclone Done
Motor Done. fan casing on
Kickplate Back on and belt cover
cleaner head back on and brush bar

Found a Hepa filter (didn't fit) and i treated it to my spare Henry tools for the now
I sprayed some this auto smart bubblegum stuff in the cyclone bin and rubbed it in. Lol every time i run the hoover it smells like bubble gum

Nice! I have a tip for the switch cover removal :)
A flat blade screw driver shoved into the sides of the back of the button/switch and then prised forwards always works, it might make a plastic cracking sound but it's fine :P
You did a good job though like always! well done

Anyone know how a electronics smell starts. This is frustrating me. There is unknown sound that was not there before?. I use the hoover, then 30 seconds later it absolutely reeks. The amarture and carbon brushes are in great condition anyone know why? It smells
