I have yet to see a list of differences between the MK1 and MK2 DC41. If you know of them, please make a topic on it. All the ones I have seen look the same. And the Cinetic Big Ball (DC75), well, what can I say? Having looked at them, I'll still recommend a DC14 over one any day of the week.

The stabiliser thing is stiffer so you can wheel it from one room to another, whereas my original DC41 reclines with less pressure. The roller wheel in the brush housing was a problem for the DC41 making it hard to push, they redesigned it on the new ones so the roller wheel thing won't fall out. The brushbar is very stiff, so beats the carpet and grooms better. It has a red max/min slider at the front of the cleaner head which controls a rubber squeeche to control the suction concentration at the cleaner head. The mk2 cleaner head also has a plastic rim behind the brushbar like the DC40 to focus the suction more. The performance at the cleaner head is slightly more powerful than the original DC41, but the original DC41 has slightly more hose suction. The main unit of the DC41 is pretty much the same I think besides a 700w motor. My DC41 produces quite a lot of heat, stupidly. I don't think the 700w motors do. My DC14 only gets warm, not as hot as the DC41 even with the 1600W motor! DC41 has 1300w but quite stupid of the DC41 really. Even the 1400w Dyson DC07/14 motors don't do this. I made a thread about my DC41 btw, yesterday I think it was. PS I have a question, does the DC41 have an air relief valve? Mine doesn't activate when I put my hand over the hose :/ the DC40 does
