Thanks mate!
My DC08Origin which is about 8 yrs old just died recently. Just before it had stopped running we heard a funny noise and I suspect that the motor most likely needs servicing. I've taken all the parts apart and check the switch and power cables and all seems ok.
Joining the group helped me find where to buy spares for an old dyson dc08 and I was hoping too that I can find anything from past post pertaining to problems with dc08 and see if i have similar problems. At first, I was contemplating if i would just buy carbon brushes to save few bucks or just replace the whole ydk motor. Anyways, I ended up buying a YDK motor and the vac is up and running now. Moving forward, gaining valuable inputs from other members' past experiences on their vacs would greatly help me lookafter my vac. I intend to use and hold on to it as long as I can.

We send quite a bit of stuff to NZ, I hope it was us! But whether you use us or not, the forum here is a great resource, there are a lot of helpful and knowledgeable blokes here and you are most welcome.  :icon_nod:

Can I trouble you for the first three digits of your serial number on this topic please? We are short of some Aussie and NZ serial numbers for our recognition tool.
