Wondering if anyone has info on how to remove the ball shell and ball shell cap on DC41.

Did you find an answer? My covering fell off and wondering if there is a way to reattach - nothing looks broken

I use a pair of long nose pliers in the holes of the cap and turn anti clockwise to undo. It just needs a small turn to undo and lifts out
