Looks tidy though,  should come up well! The stones will have been sucked up after the filters had blocked i bet,  and couldnt make it up the air channel!

Their nicer to use than an 07, the squatter design helps I think

My favourite as well, quieter than the 07 and better looking.  Dose your 14 have a DC14i cyclone on it? What's the serial number?

Yes its a DC14. the serial number starts with 227-UK. i typed that on the Dyson support section and it came up as DC14i. I will post the pictures later have been really busy with work etc. This weekend i have a DC01 coming to me, the owner said its not performing very well and they wondered if i could sort it. so if you guys want any posts me taking it apart i will do so!.

It just seams strange to have yellow bits on a DC14i I always thought they were all silver.   :grinn:

Nice! I would say the DC14 is my favourite, as much as I like the DC41 the plastic is just flexible, it's a pain to take apart and the hose in the ball looks like a nob. The DC14 is sturdy and the plastic only has a TINY bit of flex so it won't really break in the most needed parts like on the wand and cyclone handle. Superb machine. Looks good and modern, a better DC33 in every single way besides weight, the filter has a larger surface area to trap more bacteria and microbes, the filter in the cyclones makes it quieter, the tools are ALL on the machine so its better for car cleaning, I leave the wand in the house cos all the tools are on board, no wand needed for car cleaning and I don't want any scrap metal buggers taking my wand! Also,it's easier to use the wand and quicker than the DC07.

I like the DC07 as much as the DC14, but the wand design is a little bit annoying, have to reverse it as I don't like the handle as the end of the wand. However, there is a benefit as the telescope reach thing can be a bit stiff sometimes if the wand has even a slight dent or the hose is twisted.

I would like the DC33, I do but the wand is weird, the red tool end comes off cos it's glued, the wand is plastic, the post motor filter housing is weird, feels cheap and the suction ain't as god as the DC14 or DC07.

DC25 is one of my favourite Dyson models, but the cleaner head is the common issue, the brush motor blows up and the wire loom on the side breaks, apart from that it's a great machine with a lovely brushbar, not too bad to strip down either.

Now the brush bar, Get a flat blade screw driver and turn them anticlockwise gently until the wont move any more.

And it just pop's off

Pull the brush bar towards you gently and try to pull it off the belt.

Hose off

Here cones the tricky part and these can be really stiff to take off, pull and push the self adjusting cleaner head towards the motor and i should come off
