Dc25 post filter noise
« on: July 26, 2015, 05:49:39 pm »
Hi all has been a while since i have been on here.  :offtopic:but have accquired a dc35 as a dyson outlet refurb.

Is coming up to 3 months of having my dc25 and am having great problems with the post filter seal making noises when i turn off and despite replacing the post filter and post filter door it doesnt seem to stop no matter what. Just thought i would note that all parts on the machine are genuine dyson.

Thanks for any help.

Lawrence

Hi Lawrence.

Its a very common issue.  Usually solved by removing the black rubber seal from the filter,  refitting it but not quite pushing it home,  then run a smear of grease or oil around the rubber then refitting it.

Dont think it fully cures it but it quietens it down a bit.
