Hell yes!
I'll be able to pick one up for £20 in a few years time and have a play!
Interested to see the state of the 'vibrating cones' (is this that machine) after a few years of use. Also be interesting to see why the motors gone, would put money on it being dust related... Check the state of the fan on the old one...
Definitely interested, didn't think I'd see one needing repairs already. Shows the no filter thing is nothing but a gimmick then
I was surprised how easily the DC39 came apart, so shall be interesting to see if these are similar.
Can you even get motors for these yet? Or is it used in something else? Or do you have special contacts? Or do I need to look at q?
DC40 motors etc blow up all the time what the hell

I collected a machine from a customer on my way home tonight. One of these. (Attachment Link) A newish DC54 Cinetic with no filters. A quick look at it in the house, and the motor is popping and burning, and the motor bearings were screeching loudly. The machine has no signs of abuse, plaster dust/fire ash/shake 'n' vac or water ingress. I did the decent thing and told the chap Dyson will repair it under warranty if he calls them. However, he said he didn't want to give his inside leg measurement on the phone for 20 minutes, couldn't be bothered looking for the receipt, and preferred we fixed it as we had done machines in the past for family members. So as we don't see many of these yet, anyone interested in seeing how they come apart? I can do some photos if of interest.
I admire your honesty mate, a lot would have just said it needs a new motor & given a price.
