I booked an afternoon off work to do some major loft/house sorting. Once I was nearly done, I took some vacs up from the house and had a bit of a tidy up.

Starting with consumables

Bought 3 packs from Q, then a few months later won all the others and a manual for £3, so will NEVER have to buy another Compact or Aquatronic bag again!

Some H4 Bags. Still got oodles of bojack/genuine ones in the shed to work through for now though

A pack of Genuine bags for my Electrolux 414 I came across in the shed

2 genuine 1980's Aquamaster bags. Have loads of bojack ones in the shed, I use those.

DC02 Filters

A box of H1 bags, again, got shedloads of bojack ones, and cut open cheapo Miele S7 bags work much better anyway...

Got these a few months ago from the cat boot, for my Sensotronic System 2!

I've had these for a few years, and kept them because I've always wanted a Galaxy, and thast happened 2 weeks ago so they can come up into the loft ready for the refurb!

Bags filters and belts for the Vax New Wave

These all went into a box

The Hoover Turbopower stash. Not going to use these now, have plenty of bojack stuff in the shed (and loads of bulbs, kept 2 back, the rest are in the shed)

Some old DC01 bits, and a pack of filters because it got them off the shelf downstairs

and misc stuff. Some Electrolux and Hoover bits. Also the new rear wheel kit that I got from Mvacs, again months ago, waiting to be fitted to the DA001

These sit in my parquet floro tool box

Had a move about of some cleaners.

The Dysons, excluding the Absolute+ which is in the shed and can stay there for now!

The Hoover Cylinders

Put all the toolkits back together. One of the new style U1912 boxes has the tools for the brown compact in it though...

Not sure how viewable this will be, but this is all the cylinders on the shelf

And how it all looks from the hatch!

Very productive. More to come though!

Oo, there is more... Got these down in the process, which will go over to my other storage place for safe keeping. (bar the DC01 which needs to be doen up and lobbed on facebook, and my Daughters Lux 550)!

Getting those out the way should stop the moaning for a bit, probably...

I really need to do my loft again. About 12 years ago we cleared it all out and put boarding down, It was great, now it looks like a bomb has gone off in a charity shop and some of the boards have cracked

Defiantly a winter job, to hot up there this time of year.

Ah it got unbearable! Really really hot, almost put a fan up there but theres not enough room.

All our boardoing was free. Saw an ad on ebay saying free chipboard from an offoce reshell, 2 miles up the road from work. Had the xm back then, so got 30 sheets of good stuff (was there at half 7, before anyone else so cherrypicked) and drove back to work, then home later. Xm was on its bumpstops after 30 mins but once raised up you couldnt tell it was there! Certainly made the knackered centre sphere work well

Ours was free as well, came from my brother in laws loft when he turned it into 4th bedroom. Our loft is quite big (not as big as Mum's) and because the house was built in the 50s there's no cross bracing up there to rob the space.

Lucky you! I cant stand in ours!

If I'm not feeling too knackered when we move out in the future and theres space in the van I may take it all with us! Depends if any new loft isnt boarded...

I cant reach the top in ours, you could have someone on your shoulders in mums loft.

Lucky bugger, we live in an old miners cottage & the loft isn't big enough to swing a mouse nevermind a cat

Our house is victorian, terraced and was built in 1894. The loft/attic was quite big, we have 2. One at the top of the house and one above the kitchen. They are both big enough to stand in but have a triangular thing cos of the roof. We got our top of the house attic converted so it's livable in there, made it into 2 bedrooms and now we have a 5 bedroom house, there's still some room for a little storage thing in there, I have my DC05 motorhead in there as well as the old house stuff you would expect to find in an attic. We used to have a ladder to get up there, but now we have 2 flights of stairs. One to go upstairs to the first floor (13 steps) and another staircase to go to the attic (14 stairs, with a curve).

The kitchen one I call the loft and the top one the attic, the kitchen loft needs a ladder to get to, and the ceiling has a rectangular thing you fit through, of course lol. It's approx 15 metres long by 5 metres long I would say. It's quite cold up there in the winter and very hot in there at summer time.

We are having another house extension with the kitchen, knock the wall down and make a bigger one.We did that for the living room and it came out well :)

We are down to about 60 of those now. We had hundreds.

I know exactly what our shop loft has in it: Our DC01 De Stijl, our DC02 De Stijl, our DC03 Independent, our DC04 De Stijl, a new DC05, some Dyson display stands we have no space for and a load of tea chests we have no space for.
