Misty bins
« on: October 12, 2015, 11:23:05 pm »
A lot of the machines that I have been repairing have had very cloudy bins, except for the few that have been in belting condition. Does anybody have a method of polishing/treating the bins to make them clearer?
Cheers Chris

Parwaz uses hairspray.  Ive not tried it personally but seeing pictures of his bins it looks like it works. Strangely hairspray is possibly the only bloody thing er indoors hasnt got in the bathroom...

I remember seeing the post about using hairspray. I thought that it may have been a private joke though lol. A spray job with hairspray it is then

I'd like to revive this thread and say I've found a nice and quick method

Clean bin with water and let dry

Then rub baby oil on the inside the result is great

Tech I think it works with any hairspray :)

Tony: I bet it works great :) but won't the dust stick to the oil?

Awesome, thanks! Will try that :) I presume WD40 might work as it's similar I believe.
When buffing, would it work by hand with paper towels or it is a machine buffing job?
