So I am starting to get some photos through from the media and radio people of our opening.

They asked for the oldest and most valuable machine next to the most expensive new one in a group shot. Well, that means the Dyson prototype Rotork next to a brand new Sebo X4 Pet. Then they asked two seven year old girls to hold them!  :o

So I am not at all worried about two seven year old girls and a couple of other people having £2k's worth of machines on a pavement outside........

Especially when the photographer says to the two girls, "lean them back like you are vacuuming". With a 1984 ultra-rare Rotork Kleeneze Dyson prototype! For clarity, one of these is in the Zanussi museum in Italy and one in the Design Museum in London of only about 500 made - most of which are lost.

Can imagine the headlines in the local rag if the little girl had dropped the rotork backwards now...

At least they didnt want you to get the dc03 clear out on the scratchy pavement!

Did you sell any machines on opening day? Any beweildered old dears come in for a belt and wonder wtf they walked into?

Bloke on the left [in the dark coat] was trying to snuggle up to Olyessa all day. Without much success I might add.  :chuckle:

I managed to keep that in the cabinet.......

We moved a few machines, and a few spares. One woman ran out with a DC14 giggling, "How cool is this? He bought me a Dyson and I got a selfie with Gordon Burns!"

I like this one. Three blondes and a celeb. Not a shabby Saturday as they go.  :king:
