A DC07 CLIC
« on: November 16, 2015, 08:04:24 pm »
Little excited I just won a DC07 CLIC on eBay with loss of suction for £17 I go to pick it up shortly. This is my first CLIC ( now I'm not really a collector ) but would this model be worth keeping hold off ? Seems to be in nice condition.

Photos will come later or tommorrow depending on time I get back

For now here's a photo from the listing

They are quite rare, a good CLIC and a good DC04 Marie Curie could be worth a few £££ in a few years (or not, but who cares about that). Failing that it's £60 min on a good day once refurbed...

I seen that on eBay! Glad it's gone to a good home :) And your lucky I wasn't bothered to tell the owner it's the filter or something or they might have "fixed" it and kept it :P I normally like to help people , hate messaging new people on ebay cos its long. Why cant it be something simple like Gumtree messaging? :P lol

It will be a combination of:

Crap filters
Blocked cyclone
hairy brushroll
filthy rubber seals which don't seal up anymore resulting in a general air leak from everywhere
Internal hose will be floppy and not springy and not pushing the brushroll housing into the carpet
If there's no plaster dust when you strip it I'll buy a hat and eat it*

I had a proper mint as hell DC07 in silver and red (DC07i with a full gear cyclone) and it's filter was exactly like new after a wash. Sold it but couldnt find the crapper condition filter so had to sacrifice replacing it back into the vacuum 😩

A nice hot wash with the foam part and the hose may see it good as new!
