DC27 suction problems
« on: December 12, 2015, 05:20:13 pm »
Hello all

My Dyson DC27 has worked very well for years however lately it has very poor suction.

I have read through instructions to clean filters, make sure hoses are clear of debris etc. The suction has improved about 20% or so but one thing I noticed is a small black rubber ring at the rear of the DC27 at the bottom about 3 inches to the left of the hand held hose that connects into the DC27. An awful lot of suction exits/entries from that rubber ring & it seems that's where I'm loosing suction from? I have attached a pic.

I hope that someone can help, thank you.

Eamonn

That's the pressure release valve - that opens when there's a blockage to take the pressure off the motor.

You say you've checked hose but have you also had a look down the wand?
