Dyson DC19T2 Turbine head not spinning

Hello, I was hoping someone might be able to help with this problem.

I have taken the turbine head apart and it seems as though the fan is fine (from reading other posts this seems a common fault), it is driving the belt but the cam that connects to the brush shaft is not fixed.

Is there a way of fixing the cam to the shaft or indeed replacing that mechanism? It'so quite difficult to access because of the brush fixing attachments either side of the plastic body cannot seem to be separated.

It's a right bastard tbh. The lugs that hold the brushroll on sit over a keyed part of the axle, maybe the key part on yours has worn down?

If you can get it apart more, and maybe chew the area up with some strong cutters or grips, then hammer the brushroll lug over it with a small socket and big hammer it might work, or a tack of weld?

The whole thing has 2 spring slips inside each side which you need to pop out of the plastic housing to get it apart, it's fun*
